Therapy and Consultation

For the last sixteen years, I have worked as a mental health therapist, specializing in trauma. I have worked in private practice, in community mental health, and at the Portland VA Medical Center, where in addition to providing mental health services, I also worked in the substance abuse disorders program.

My clients come from all walks of life. Some have been unhoused or housing insecure; some have been economically privileged. I work with artists, activists, veterans, new graduates, retirees, healthcare providers, computer programmers, academics, service workers. Many of my clients have marginalized identities, disabilities, and other aspects of self that traditional therapy was not always designed to “hold.”

I help people find and loose themselves; get sober, get organized, get down to it; wrestle with gender and identity; discover strengths and resilience they never knew they had; practice vulnerability in their relationships, and learn how to use their power to disrupt systems of domination and oppression. I’ve been told I’m a “therapist’s therapist”: many of my clients are therapists themselves.

In addition to providing individual therapy, I have also supervised new therapists and provided case consultation to practicing therapists. I have also offered continuing education trainings to therapists through universities and organizations.

Interested in a case consultation or an organizational or group training?

I am available to co-create a training or to address your gathering, large or small.
Please note: I am not accepting new individual therapy clients at this time.
